I've recommended World magazine before. This is a fine article from their 9.20.08 issue, about the question of putting up barriers against suicide, and also about rethinking whether we need to accurately, graphically describe what a suicide scene looks like.
"September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and a grisly statistic is in the news: Some 32,000 Americans kill themselves in a typical year, about twice the number who die by homicide. Could physical and psychological barriers save lives?"
